The Pope of Rome traveled to Geneva in Europe to meet with the World Council of Churches in a call for world unity and peace in the ecumenical meetings.

Pope Francis also pitched for greater togetherness at the ecumenical services hosted by the World Council of Churches. The WCC is a fellowship of hundreds of church organizations whose goal is to show the unity of modern Christianity world-wide.

The World Council of Churches was founded in 1948, the same year that Israel was revived as a nation, and the WCC was joined by the Pope to also mark its 70th anniversary this year.

The Roman Church and the World Council of Churches is a joint working group co-sponsored together to promote world-wide cooperation and unity in modern Christianity.

The Pope and Church of Rome consider itself to be the catholic or universal mother church and all the protestant church organizations as its daughters who have strayed from their mother and are admonished to return home to unity with the Church of Rome.

And the Last Day prophecies in Revelation chapter 17 refer to this mother-daughter religious relationship as a unified world church that will support the coming one world government of the beast.

But the prophecy represents it there as an unfaithful harlot who is a mother of harlots because they are unfaithful to the original teachings of Jesus Christ and His Apostles opening themselves up completely to compromise with the world.

Biblically, the true “mother church” is the church of Jesus Christ that is described in the book of the Acts of the Apostles. And in the Biblical description of the true church you will find no mention of such as priests, cardinals, or popes; nowhere will you find Mary or saints being venerated; and no statues of them worshiped.

Rather, such is described in the Scriptures of Jesus and His Apostles as the doctrines and rituals of men and demons.

The true church was started by Jesus Christ and His Apostles but was banned and severely persecuted even to death by Rome for its first 300 years, yet it grew immensely.

But then, the Church of Rome was started under the tutelage and leadership of a Roman Emperor named Constantine, who promoted religious toleration and unity between Roman paganism and early Christianity, leading the early councils of the Roman Church of the Roman Empire to unite pagan and Christian beliefs and practices.

This created a Roman Church that made itself attractive to all peoples of the Empire making it the Roman Catholic Church that became the supreme universal religion of the European world even to this day. But this was achieved by apostatizing the true teachings of Jesus Christ and His Apostles, thus making it the mother harlot.

And through time as stated in Revelation 17:6, she made herself drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. As the Roman Church carried on the persecution of true Christians for the Roman Empire, calling them heretics practicing religious heresy for following the original teachings of Jesus and His Apostles and not what was accepted by the Church of Rome of the Roman Empire.

And now in the Last Days, just as Israel the woman of Revelation 12 was revived as a nation starting in 1948, also in the same year the apostate false church harlot of Revelation 17 was revived with the World Council of Churches, and the harlot daughters began returning to the harlot mother.

The multitude of signs of the prophecies that are happening in this day across all areas of Biblical prophecy is amazing. Surely, Jesus is coming soon for His faithful.
