The British Geological Survey received reports saying that an earthquake hit England with it “felt all over Crawley, West Sussex, UK.” The tremor is the third quake to hit the area in three weeks and the seventh in three months, which is unusual.
Reports said the earthquake was like two huge explosions with a large impact then with seconds of shaking. Another said they felt the earthquake at Gatwick Airport feeling the whole building move and a dull banging noise.
Another terrified resident said she was screaming in fear as they heard what sounded like thunder as they felt the ground shaking and furniture moving.
As this earthquake rocked southern England it was measured as a 3.0 magnitude tremor, causing another resident to comment that if it was that, they would hate to be in a 7 or 8.
