An unusual number of recent tremors felt in Israel in a series of earthquakes now has Israelis saying that a “Big One” is on the way with the Home Front Command holding a large national earthquake drill.
A 3.1-magnitude earthquake rattled northern Israel this week in an area that has seen a series of similar earthquakes in recent months.
Israel’s Geological Survey tracked the quake, saying it was centered 13 kilometers (8 miles) northeast of Beit She’an, on the border with Jordan, at a depth of 13 kilometers.
At the first of this year, a large 6.5-magnitude quake hit off the west coast of Cyprus and was felt in nearby Israel, Lebanon and Turkey.
Less than two weeks later, two more earthquakes rattled northern Israel within hours, leading to the evacuation of a school in Afula and the city hall of Beit She’an.
Also, another quake off the coast of Cyprus was felt in Israel, in what the Cypriot geological survey department said was an aftershock of the large temblor that occurred off the east Mediterranean island the previous month.
Then after that residents of northern Israel felt two earthquakes of about 3.5 magnitude within a number of hours with the epicenter northeast of Beit She’an.
Local citizen councils have been saying that the on-going series of earthquakes are a “warning sign” showing Israel that the “writing is on the wall” of a coming major disaster.
Israel lies along an active fault line called the Syrian-African rift that runs the length of the border separating Israel and Jordan.
And geological experts have recently warned that Israel is due for a major earthquake to where some one million homes in Israel would be at risk of collapse in such an earthquake.
According to estimates made, a major earthquake could cause about 7,000 deaths and 145,000 injuries, with 170,000 people left homeless and 320,000 buildings damaged.
And according to Revelation Prophecy a great earthquake will hit Israel in the future where the prophecy says that there will be 7000 people killed.
The exact number in the Israeli estimates which the Israeli Defense Forces have been preparing for and Israeli military leadership say they are expecting in just the next few years.
The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 6, Revelation 11) foretell that there will be earthquakes in the prophetic Last Days signaling the world is nearing the end of this age and the coming of Jesus Christ.
These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
