A destructive earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale is expected to hit Israel and its surrounding neighbors in the coming years, a new study led by researchers from Tel Aviv University have found.

According to the study published in the Science Advances journal, which reviewed about 220,000 years of Dead-Sea geology by drilling and studying the seabed, the researchers found a pattern of such devastating earthquakes hitting the region every 130 to 150 years.

Given that the last one that hit the region was 93 years ago, the researchers predict that another earthquake should hit the region in the near future.

The last earthquake with such magnitude, which hit the Dead Sea region in 1927, caused injuries to hundreds of people and damage to several main cities, such as Jordan’s capital Amman, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Jaffa.

According to that latest earthquake, about 250 people were killed in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Amman and Jericho.

And the population since has grown by about two to three times which could mean the number of casualties will be about two to three times as much for the next quake, not to mention the massive damages to infrastructure and property.

In 2019 Israel’s military completed practicing responding to a severe earthquake in an exercise scenario that was described like a Biblical earthquake foretold in the Book of Revelation.

In the scenario of the exercise, it was described as simulating a 7.5 severe magnitude earthquake striking in Israel that would kill 7,000 people.

And this directly connected to a Biblical prophecy in Revelation with the exact same characteristic of the earthquake scenario used in the exercise by Israel.

Where the prophecy in Revelation chapter 11 describes an earthquake to hit Jerusalem that was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell, and in the earthquake seven thousand people were killed.

And Israel thinks it is coming due for just such an earthquake on the Biblical scale.

The Biblical prophecies (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Revelation 11) foretell that there will be earthquakes that will happen as signs of the Last Days indicating the nearing end of this age of grace.

These events and conditions happening now are warning signs pointing to the nearing fulfillment of the Last Days prophecies at the end of this age revealing it’s time to prepare now for the nearing appearance of Jesus Christ for His Church by being born again spiritually into the Kingdom of God as Jesus said we must (John 3) and His Apostles who were authorized (Matthew 16:19) described how (Acts 2).
