This video describes how the United States begins deploying troops to the southern border with Mexico to prevent illegal border crossings.
On the U.S. President’s order, Defense Secretary James Mattis authorized up to 4,000 Guard troops to deploy to the U.S. border with Mexico to support the Department of Homeland Security border security mission there.
Texas and Arizona officials are deploying a total of 400 troops to the Mexican border, just days after President Trump’s order aiming to stop illegal crossings and drug trafficking.
