President Trump today in a speech at the White House formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, defying warnings from other Mideast countries and some U.S. allies.

Vice President Pence watched as President Trump signed and then held up a proclamation to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Trump defended his decision as “long overdue” and argued that a peace agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians has remained elusive for more than two decades even as his predecessors declined to recognize the contested city as Israel’s capital.

Trump added that “it’s folly to assume that repeating exactly the same formula will produce a different or better result.”

Trump emphasized that despite his decision he remained fully committed to helping broker a peace agreement. The White House is working on a peace plan to be unveiled sometime next year.

American embassies around the world went on heightened alert over potential violence as President Donald Trump potentially recognizes Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The decision reverses decades of US policy not to take a stance on the fate of Jerusalem on the grounds that this was an issue for Israelis and Palestinians to negotiate and decide.

The move can spark demonstrations and violence by Palestinians and Muslims around the world because of the sensitivity of the Jerusalem Holy site known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif.

But for sure these are strong Signs of the Last Days Prophecies showing we live in the Last Days of this age near significant prophecy fulfillment.
