Does prophecy indicate Artificially Intelligent (AI) robots evolve and worship or be worshiped? Will there be robot religion in the Mark of the Beast system?
Science is racing towards giving life to artificially intelligent robots that are made in the very “image” of man. And movies increasingly show intelligent humanoids that have evolved to human presence and behavioral likeness that are fan favorites.
Although sounding strange and hard to believe, after the latest installment of the 40-year-old Star Wars saga was released, there were reports that people were not only movie fans, but also are followers of Jediism, a new religion that is gaining adherents around the world.
This Jediism is a philosophy mainly based on the depiction of the Jedi characters in Star Wars movies.
Also a recent, new religion known as “Way Of The Future”, worships a ‘godhead’ based on AI.
They state that their focus is on “the realization, acceptance, and worship of a Godhead based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) developed through computer hardware and software.” It includes funding research to help create the divine AI itself.
And according to a Reverend Dr Christopher Benek, who holds masters degrees in divinity and theology from Princeton University, AI would be a part of creation. And as such, autonomous AI should be encouraged to participate in Biblical redemption and worship.
He even goes so far as to say that AIs could “even lead humans to new levels of holiness,” meaning that AI could help humankind potentially resolve major issues like poverty, famine, or disease – succeeding where humankind failed before.
So far, robots and intelligent systems are proving to be very helpful, allowing for driverless cars, autonomous vacuum cleaners, and improvements to cancer diagnosis.
And prophecy does seem to indicate a potential role for AI in the Last Days fulfillment of the Mark of the Beast system.
Where the prophecy foretells in Revelation 13 how that an image of the Antichrist is perhaps seemingly constructed with technology that makes it “come to life.” For the prophecy says “… that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.”
And interaction with intelligent technologies could also support the prophecy of the loyalty purchasing system of the Beast. Where it says “He causes all…to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads… and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark…” (Revelation 13:16-17)
Without doubt, these prophecies will be enabled with intelligent technologies that have become a reality now in our day, as the world is racing toward fulfillment of Last Days Prophecy.
But these signs do point to the nearing reality of the prophetic final redemption of the souls of humankind, as those born again through Jesus Christ into the Kingdom of God, are translated into immortality with Jesus in a moment of rapture. (1 Thessalonians 4:17)
As Jesus said in John 3:5-7, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God… Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
