Today as I listened to a news interview of the Houston billionaire restaurant and hotel owner, Tilman Fertitta, he called Hurricane Harvey something many of us may have thought – a Biblical event.
He was responding to questions about the severity of the storm and how great the people were responding although in difficulty, when in those comments he used the term Biblical event in describing Hurricane Harvey.
My instincts tell me that Mr. Fertitta said something that many Houstonians and others across the world have thought, that this was indeed a rare event on a Biblical level.
For the thousands of followers of this ministry content, you will know how that we are in agreement with his comment and have been sharing information since before it happened and throughout, from the event, its characteristics, science, and the Scriptures, along that very line.
How that Hurricane Harvey was a Biblical event with significance for us.
For this purpose, I will recap here some of the points we have shared over the past two weeks.
As our followers will remember, we called out the potential for the rareness of Hurricane Harvey and as a sign of trouble before it made landfall.
It started as we had been posting on August 20 about the rareness and unusual characteristics of what America was calling the Great American eclipse. We had then connected the rare historic eclipse to historical events and the Scriptures which pointed out the potential of it as a heavenly sign indicating America could realize a serious time of trouble.
But it was then on August 24th as writing and on August 25th posting, that we connected the rare eclipse to a rare hurricane event happening as the intersection of two Last Days Biblical signs in the sun and also the sea, with the rare eclipse with hurricane having potential as a sign to America and a warning of a time of trouble coming.
And a time of trouble it was, with perplexity and distress just as described in the Scriptures.
The eclipse hurricane surprised all the experts by accelerating and making landfall in Texas as a Category 4 hurricane roaring into America with widespread devastation as the historic catastrophe unfolded in the Houston region.
The reporting on the news event has called out peculiar and rare circumstances around the storm making it a rare event.
Many will scoff and say its just by accident that there was a rare eclipse then rare storm that researchers are now calling a rare Millennium Event , as a 1-in-1000 year flood event on an unprecedented scale like nothing in historical records that could be a sign of more rare events coming.
Tilman Fertitta may be an owner of casinos, hotels, and restaurants, but on this day we think he made an accurate Scriptural statement that Hurricane Harvey was a Biblical event.
So we must ask then, what is the meaning of these events for now and also our future?
In the year of 2017 America has already had inauguration of a rare presidential leader who self-describes himself that way, along with a rare eclipse intersecting with a rare cyclone that both intersected on a land governed by this rare president, with historic results.
Could this be just a taste, perhaps the beginning curve of recurring unusual and rare events, that warn America of escalating trouble warning us to get back to God in a more Biblical way?
One characteristic of Biblical events as signs is that they are revealing.
They are an irrefutable reminder just like they were to the Egyptians and Pharaoh, that no matter how advanced or powerful Man is, they are utterly helpless as we hide from the face of the powerful forces in the world. Mankind will always be dependent and subservient to his Creator.
And the Signs of the Last Days Prophecies in Scripture foretell that in the future a rebellious, sinful humankind will learn this lesson again, but on a worldwide Biblical scale.
Another characteristic of the results of Biblical events as signs is that they are humbling to repentance.
If approached correctly, they provide people with the opportunity to discover humility again, as we see our life plans or works of our hands destroyed in mere hours.
Also, a characteristic of the results of Biblical events as signs is that they are restorative.
As people are humbled, if they turn back to God, they realize the promise of His blessings and are revived and restored.
And that is the faithful, merciful, objective of God… to cleanse, revive, and restore us, so that we may be Biblically saved and blessed by Him.
Herein I agree with Mr. Fertitta’s comments today again. Yes, although the Houston area has been humbled with homes destroyed and lives disrupted, I also think they can (by God’s Grace) see their area restored and revived.
But I also pray for us here in the Houston area and in America, that we will see more than that, to see how God sees. How that God is showing us again, the need to pray and walk with Him realizing spiritual revival that restores our souls to the Word and Spirit of God.
God we ask in Jesus Name, restore the Houston area, and save America.
Since your here…
…we have a humble request to ask please. More people than ever are following Signs of the Last Days and its content on the signs of Biblical prophecy in world events and the return of Jesus. But it takes time, money, and hard work to produce. Unlike for profit companies we are a non-profit charity depending on donations, but we still have all the same expenses. So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
Help us to continue spreading the Word to the world on the Biblical signs of the Last Days by taking time to securely give now. Thank You!
