It all began on Aug. 21 with a rare celestial sign of an America-only total solar eclipse. Then within a month, there has been 12 significant signs that were called rare or never before seen in a season of disaster.
This is a big deal. This series of events even had a few in major mainstream media making comments that people could not be blamed for end-of-days thinking.
These recent rare or never before seen Signs of the Last Days, that came in a rapid back-to-back fashion with the eclipse, could have major prophetic implications indicating a major event coming on the horizon.
It’s important to take a minute to look back and take this in:
ECLIPSE: “… there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars….” (Luke 21)
It clearly and distinctly started on Aug. 21 with the total solar eclipse across America, with characteristics that the last time it happened this way was at a time of revolution in 1776 that birthed America. We asked then if this sign in the sun could mean a warning to America.
The grand spectacle of a total solar eclipse is traditionally accompanied by many other rare events: daylight turns to darkness; the midday air cools and stills; birds stop singing and prepare for night.
But unknown to us then, there were rare disaster events rapidly forming to hit one after the other taking our collective breath away. We asked then if the shadow of the eclipse across America and into the region of tropical activity in the ocean could have significance.
It did … – with the intersection of two biblical Last Day signs of eclipse & hurricane.
Immediately after the eclipse left America with the path of totality going into the main development region for tropical cyclones, a tropical storm of no significance suddenly accelerated into an increasingly strong hurricane surprising the weather forecasters.
HURRICANE HARVEY: “… the sea and the waves roaring.” (Luke 21)
It was Hurricane Harvey. This first of the eclipse hurricanes surprised all the experts and shocked the national forecasters at the National Hurricane Center with them saying it happened faster than expected with a speed that hit America with such devastation it became known as “a Biblical event.’
The rare mega-storm Harvey set a new all-time record with over 51 inches of rainfall. Researchers called it a millennium event while even Houston’s billionaire had the awareness to call it a Biblical event with meaning. And this ministry you’re reading, had called out the rareness of Hurricane Harvey as a sign of trouble before it ever made landfall. Was it ever.
But Harvey was only just the first of them, after the eclipse.
HURRICANE IRMA: “… with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.” (Luke 21)
Now came something awful, never before seen, it was another eclipse hurricane called Irma. It was the highest category 5 hurricane with winds near 200 mph that they began calling a super-storm with one meteorologist saying “Irma is now gone off the scale” and he closed with “May the Lord bless our souls.” It became the strongest ever Atlantic storm and then also the most powerful Atlantic hurricane in recorded history.
As it roared upon land, trapped people described what they called as ‘apocalyptic’ scenes. Afterwards, the true stories began to come out how people in shock literally “roamed like zombies” and how others actually “hid in caves” from apocalyptic Irma. The storm was so strong that seismic sensors on land registered it as multiple 3.0 and higher magnitude earthquakes.
And things were really getting strange. Even a meteorologist and hurricane historian said he had never seen the strangeness and power of a Hurricane Irma. For it had a strange origin, becoming a category 5 storm in a part of the world that does not produce huge hurricanes. It had never happened before. And was the strongest storm ever measured in the open Atlantic Ocean. So goes eclipse hurricanes.
And following on its devilish swirling coat-tails came even more ominous signs, things that people said was never before seen.
“NEVER BEFORE” HAVE BACK-TO-BACK CAT 4 OR CAT 5 HURRICANES HIT AMERICA: “… and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.” (Luke 21)
“Never Before” is a term denoting rare events indeed. But here they are, and seemingly a lot them now in 2017. Now after category 4 Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, a highest possible category 5 super-storm, hit the U.S.. And “Never Before” had America been hit with back to back category 4 or higher hurricanes.
Now America was having back to back to back rare scriptural signs occur. Events like Never Before.
But there was more to come, much more.
HURRICANE SCIENTISTS SAY THEY’VE NEVER SEEN 3 HURRICANES THREATENING LAND SIMULTANEOUSLY: “… such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time.” (Matthew 24)
They just kept coming.
Now for the first time in history, there were three hurricanes that had lined up at the same time in the Atlantic. And according to a hurricane specialist at the National Hurricane Center, never before had 3 hurricanes threatened land simultaneously in the Atlantic Basin. At that point the National Hurricane Center had issued advisories on Hurricane Irma (currently located then north of the Dominican Republic), Hurricane Jose (then 700 miles east of the Lesser Antilles), and Hurricane Katia (then over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico).
It seemed that things just kept coming and pushing events up to the Last Days event level that Jesus had described in His prophecies, with things happening “such as has not been since the beginning of the world.”
6 MILLION PEOPLE FLEE IN LARGEST DISASTER EVACUATION IN HISTORY: “… “who is able to stand?” (Revelation 6:17)
Then as the super-storm hurricane called Irma bore down on Florida, the leaders of the state told people to not hesitate but flee. Nearly six million people were ordered to leave their homes in what became the biggest evacuation in history. It created scenes looking ‘apocalyptic’. The mass evacuation led to huge traffic jams with millions stuck in traffic along Florida’s northbound highways.
They became parking lots. Gas became hard to come by. People were abandoning their cars. Apocalyptic.
There was also a mass exodus in the skies as airlines and private pilots filled the air to flee the super-storm. Hundreds and hundreds of planes with thousands of passengers filled the air in the effort to avoid the looming disaster. Some people paid $5,000 for an airline ticket to escape, and at air charter services, prices were ranging from $7,000 or $8,000 up to “tens of thousands” to move people from the hurricane’s path.
I’m not describing a disaster movie here. This all just actually happened. But unfortunately there’s more.
MEXICO HAS STRONGEST EARTHQUAKE IN A CENTURY: “… And there will be great earthquakes in various places.” (Matthew 24)
Then suddenly, with all these amazing rare or never seen signs of the sun and the sea happening, also came signs of the earth as well. The most powerful earthquake to hit Mexico in 100 years struck off the nation’s Pacific Coast. It rattled millions of residents in Mexico City with its violent tremors killing many and leveling some areas in the southern part of the country closer to the quake’s epicenter. The government said about 50 million people across Mexico felt the earthquake, which had a magnitude of 8.2.
It was a big one, but just like the eclipse hurricanes, this earthquake too was also just the first one.
And the signs in the sun were not finished either.
NASA: THERE’S BEEN 7 MASSIVE SUN SOLAR FLARES IN 7 DAYS: “… and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.” (Matthew 24)
Hot on the heels of the epic American total solar eclipse our sun followed up with what scientists called unusual behavior. They said the sun should be going into a quiet time or what is called solar minimum, were the number of active regions, where flares occur, is low. Instead, the sun was now having maximum X-class flares happening close together which they say is very unusual.
Then NASA reported that the sun blasted out seven massive solar flares in seven days in an extraordinary period of space weather that sparked stunning geomagnetic storms above the earth. This space weather happened at the same time as earth weather produced monster storms as destructive Category 5 cyclones.
And there were more signs in the heavens.
RARE CELESTIAL EVENT: NEW MOON ‘OCCULTATION’ WITH 6 CELESTIAL BODIES: “… and let them be for signs.” (Genesis 1)
And then another rare celestial event happened to where the moon, after coming into alignment between the earth and the sun during the epic American total solar eclipse, now also moved between the Earth and not just one but six celestial bodies. When the moon passes in front of something besides the sun, it’s called an occultation.
And according to the US Naval Observatory, we had a lunar occultation with the moon coming into alignment with all the likes of three planets, then also one of the sky’s brightest stars, and also two asteroids, in a day. A moon ‘occultation’ with 6 celestial bodies.
It’s very unusual for so many celestial bodies to be involved in this way.
HURRICANE MARIA: “For then there will be great tribulation…” (Matthew 24)
But then also, unbelievably, after historic Hurricanes Harvey & Irma, came even another unusually monster Cat 5 hurricane called Maria to hit America.
The National Hurricane Center said the storm would be catastrophic. Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló said “This is an unprecedented atmospheric system.” They were both right. Puerto Rico was wiped out, literally. People are still desperately trying to survive there. Many believe the name of Maria to mean “sea of sorrow,” and Hurricane Maria certainly brought a time of sorrow putting misery onto misery as the back-to-back disasters just kept coming.
A Yale University historian said “What’s really interesting is to have had three major hurricanes virtually at the same time, and that’s a rare occurrence.” There was distress and perplexity as now the sea and waves were roaring again with 175 mph and higher winds from yet another rare category 5 hurricane.
ANOTHER GIANT EARTHQUAKE HITS MEXICO: “… men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming…” (Luke 21)
This time hundreds upon hundreds are feared dead with the death toll still climbing, and thousands are homeless, as another big earthquake hit Mexico with scores of large buildings collapsing as tens of thousands fled into the streets trying to find safety. The first earthquake 2 weeks before came with Hurricane Irma, and this worse one came with Hurricane Maria.
Strangely, it also happened on the exact day of the anniversary of a 1985 quake that killed thousands, which Mexicans still commemorate. The quake this time caused buildings to sway sickeningly in Mexico City as glass burst out of the windows of buildings. It sent people throughout the city fleeing from homes and offices, and many people remained in the streets for hours, fearful of returning to structures.
They’re still digging for the dead.
TRUMP AND KIM JONG-UN THREATEN TO DESTROY EACH OTHERS COUNTRIES: “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.” (Matthew 24)
It happened very quickly in successive events. North Korea successful detonated an advanced thermonuclear hydrogen bomb with the the explosion deep in the mountains of their underground testing site creating a 6.3 magnitude earthquake.
The experts said this is a game changer. The apocalyptic threats then rapidly escalated between North Korea and the U.S.
Afterwards, Kim Jong-un who rarely comments spoke to the KCNA news agency saying he has vowed to reach the country’s nuclear goal which is to establish “equilibrium” of military force with the U.S.; which he also said means to make the U.S. rulers dare not talk about any military option for North Korea.
Then U.S. President Trump, in language never before heard at the United Nations, threatened the “total destruction’” of North Korea if the U.S. is forced to defend itself or its allies against the renegade nation’s nuclear weapons program. The escalating threats can easily lead to not ending well for the world. Wars and rumors of wars.

All of the above, 12 rare or never before seen Signs of the Last Days that all happened within 1 month of America’s total eclipse. It all reads like a disaster novel or a script for a disaster movie. But it was all too real. We just lived through it.
And I’ll tell you what it is. It’s all just a taste and signs of what the coming Great Tribulation will be like. To where humankind copes with the reality that after they’ve escaped one disaster, they will be in the middle of another disaster’s angry path just trying to survive another day.
For then there will be major disaster after disaster as great wars, storms, earthquakes, pestilence, and more happen across all the earth until humanity is so distressed, they are reduced to the basic plan of surviving another day if they can.
And after such a compact 30 days filled with the intensity of unusual and never before seen Signs of the Last Days, we have received an unusual warning. This is really a big deal. Such signs are provided for a reason. There is something on the horizon coming!
We have been warned. Will America still have any well of respect for God and His Holy Scriptures to draw from so to respond in any meaningful way?
For individuals, it would be wise to search ourselves and our lives. Are we truly born again as Jesus (John 3) and His Apostle Peter (Acts 2) described? Are we living our lives so to be ready, since the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect (Matthew 24)?
Things are all lined up in this world for the fulfillment of prophecy. It will be suddenly, that all the prophetic dominoes begin to fall. God is listening, are we watching and praying?
